The installation of the new binoculars at Mt Gravatt Outlook Reserve is the latest community project by The Rotary Club of Mt Gravatt.
To commemorate the centenary of Rotary in Australia and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Mt Gravatt Club the members have worked hard to install binoculars at the summit of Mt Gravatt. Everyone will be able to enjoy fantastic views over the CBD, Brisbane River and the Glasshouse Mountains with the installation of both a high set and a low set suitable for children and anyone confined to a wheelchair.
With the financial support of the Queensland Government Gambling Community Fund the Rotary Club was able to donate the binoculars to the Brisbane City Council for installation and maintenance. Thanks to this collaboration between Rotary Club, Local and State governments the binoculars are free to use for the whole community.
